1Door was established in 2018 as a start-up business consulting company. In dealing with our new and existing clients we quickly spotted a gap in our services. After the start-up phase businesses, needed ongoing help and support. In assisting our customers through all facets of their business, utilising our extensive contact network we developed our three support hubs which we believe contain the keys to unlocking the potential to any business.

The core of our business is the Start-Up Hub, the Solutions Hub and the Executive Hub. We believe that these three hubs can enable businesses at all stages of development to grow and improve their performance and profitability. By engaging in our hubs, businesses will be able to avail of our expert panel of mentors from every sector of business and industry to help unlock their potential.

  • Evan Talty
    Evan Talty Managing Director

    Evan is the Managing Director of Wild Irish Seaweeds Limited and he takes an active role in the day to day running of the company.

    In this capacity, Evan is a past winner of Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur and Enterprise Ireland’s New Frontiers Best Entrepreneur. He has also successfully pitched on RTE’s Dragon’s Den.

    Evan now, also works closely with owners and managers of small and medium sized businesses who are looking to build and scale their companies. 

    He has vast experience in working with start-up companies in Ireland to help them to achieve growth both nationally and internationally. He has worked with many businesses to assist them to plan and execute their blueprint for success in various industries such as food manufacturing, health, nutrition, retail and technology and various.

  • Eric Murrihy
    Eric Murrihy Business Development Manager & Hospitality Consultant

    Eric is a hospitality graduate from Dublin Institute of Technology and has 20 years experience in the hospitality and tourism industry, 13 of which have been at General Manager level. He has also been involved operating multiple businesses from food service establishments, medium and large hotel establishments, tourist offices, cafes, restaurants and pubs.  He has vast experience in business planning, project management, event planning and operations.

  • Karen Galvin
    Karen Galvin Director & Financial Controller

    Karen is a director of the company since its inception and manages our financial affairs.

    Karen works full time as a Tax Manager with Cahill Taxation Services in Ennis Co. Clare. She previously worked with Grant Thornton in Limerick, during which time she qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser from the Irish Tax Institute. Karen holds a Bachelor of Business honors degree in Law & Taxation from Limerick Institute of Technology.

    Karen has gained vast tax, accounting, financial and commercial knowledge throughout her career. She brings this experience to the business to assist with its day to day operation and to aid our furture strategic plans.

  • Carmel Connaire
    Carmel Connaire Food Hygiene Trainer & Consultant

    Carmel is a Graduate of GMIT Hotel and Catering Business School and the Institute of Public Administration and she has owned and operated several food businesses as a franchisee and independent trader. She has a proven track record in working with companies in Food Product Development, Food and Beverage Service Business operations and Food Safety Compliance. Carmel offers assistance, mentoring and training in specific areas paying keen attention to the needs of her clients and is a one stop resource for starting a food product business or catering service in Ireland. She is a member of the Food Safety Professionals Association and licensed to train by the Environmental Health Officers Association. She brings focus, energy and determination to small and large projects alike.

  • Michael Fennelly
    Michael Fennelly High Performance, Leadership & Culture Coach

    Michael is currently a lecturer in Sports Science at Limerick Institute of Technology he is studying a doctorate in Leadership at Maynooth University and he is a performance coach with the Kildare Senior Football team. Michael marries his years of experience in the high-performance environment of the Kilkenny GAA senior hurling team with his academic experience to create innovative and bespoke leadership and cultural programs.

  • Alan Kerins
    Alan Kerins Keynote Speaker & Leadership Coach

    Alan Kerins is an elite multi-code athlete, performance consultant, executive coach, public speaker, humanitarian, social entrepreneur and philanthropist.

    Alan is a Trinity College graduate in physiotherapy resulting in a wealth of experience on the academic, business and sporting fronts. He has used his broad range of experience and professional expertise to design, develop and lead the Inner Winner Institute, which offers hugely popular and successful elite leadership, personal and professional development courses in the USA, Africa, India and Ireland. Companies such as Aer Lingus, HP, Medtronic, Veolia, Vodafone, INM, Salesforce, Zurich, University of Notre Dame, Penn State University, National University of Ireland Galway and UNESCO have engaged with many of Alan’s programs.

    Alan also founded The Alan Kerins Projects in 2005 which has raised over €5 million directly and several million more indirectly for many vital and life saving projects and programs for communities all over the World.

    Alan also holds a diploma in Child and Family Support and has collaborated with UNESCO on a several global development initiatives.

    Alan has the distinction of winning both All-Ireland football and hurling medals for both his county and club – a feat rarely achieved. Alan also holds the unique distinction of having won All-Ireland club medals in both hurling and football and is the only GAA player to have done so with different clubs.

  • James Cluskey
    James Cluskey Leadership Coach

    Ireland’s renowned tennis professional James Cluskey is now an Executive Coach who has spent a lifetime delivering high performance. His achievements on the court had him represent Ireland in the Davis Cup from 2006 to 2015. As a tennis professional James won 15 professional titles and was once ranked 145 in the world.

    From a young age, James learned and applied self-discipline, goal-orientated success and consistent high performance on the court and in training. In 2018, James and three others undertook the physically and mentally grueling challenge of attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest doubles tennis match – over 60 hours. Despite physical fatigue, James’ sheer determination and winning mindset ensured that he succeeded in achieving this long-standing goal.

    James has a strong track record of building relationships and inspiring people to perform at their best. His passion for surrounding himself with those who inspire him led him to collaborate with many business and entrepreneurial leaders including Sir. Richard Branson and his esteemed Necker Island guests.

    James captained the Louisiana State University Tennis Team to a Top 10 US ranking and, as veteran of the Irish Davis Cup team, he took on the role of mentoring new international team members. On retiring from professional tennis, James graduated with a Personal and Executive Coaching qualification to establish the High Calibre Collective. HCC specialises in performance coaching, personal development and assisted high performance. His other qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Business and a Diploma in Sports Psychology.

    James has a highly regarded warm and personal style which demonstrates great benevolence and understanding. He effortlessly promotes confidence in his clients and helps people build self-awareness and a thirst for success.

    James’ coaching style is ideally suited to millennials and generation ‘Z’ individuals looking to unlock their potential. To date in his career, he has achieved great success in supporting the improvement of employee workplace performance in the technologhy, finance and social media sectors.  His prime focus is to empower individuals to enhance their performance in all aspects of their lives.

  • James Murrihy
    James Murrihy Disability Awareness, Diversity & Inclusion Trainer & Specialist.

    James has vast experience in working with people with disabilities over the past 10 years. He has developed and implemented various inclusion programs in the areas of sport and physical activity for people with disabilities in Ireland.

    James works for Clare Sports Partnership and has developed diversity and inclusion in the workplace programs for a company called DANDI which delivers these programs into tier one companies throughout Ireland.  

    James has also experience in top level permanence management and has tailored programmed workshops aimed at improving staff efficiency. He is currently the manager of the Clare ladies football team and has been involved with many teams over the years.

He has 5 All-Irelands, 3 NFL's, 10 Munster Championships, 1 County Senior Championship, 1 Senior Club County Championship, 1 County U21 Championship, 1 County Intermediate Championship along with 2 All Stars. Aiden also won the 2018 dancing with the stars. 1Door helped Aiden turn his passion for physical fitness into his life ling goal, AOM Fitness.

Andy was awarded 2 All Stars in 2011 & 2017 and won Player of the Year in 2017. Andy is the owner of The Movement Gym located in Castlebar in Co. Mayo which he opened in June 2015 and currently employs 7 staff.
